I love the use of the piano that comes in around the minute mark. (You know how I feel about piano.)

After waiting from the buildup for the beat, you did not disappoint. Have you ever listened to William Orbit? This reminds me of a modern "Water From a Vineleaf". Very beat-heavy, a driving synth, but not overpowering. Takes you up into a Tron universe, and offers a relaxing dip back towards reality.

The only critique I have would be to soften the voice a little bit, make it somewhat more blended into the background. It caught me off guard at first. :)

Anyhoo, I downloaded. Gonna listen to this while I go for a run. Makes me think I'm in the Matrix. Good work!

I really like piano. Will probably be using it more if I get further into NGADM :p

Wow, Water From a Vineleaf sounds very similar to my song, down to the repetitive electronic melody with 7ths and spoken word female vocals! It's also totally awesome. I really love songs with the groovy bass guitar :D

I think you're right about the vocal, so I turned it down just a tad when it comes in. Thanks for the review!

Dude, I know you say that you had no inspiration, but I hear plenty of creative riffs in here. I think with a little mixing and some timing revamps, it would be a great song to listen to. You have a good sense of chord progression going on.

Fleshbag responds:

Thanks :) Yeah, the mix sucks and my playing is half assed, quarter of an ass actually. Anyway, that guy Mystek should win even if he doesn't make a song :D

Perfection. Ear-gasm.

Bosa responds:

It's hard to beat your music, however. You're pro.

Go, go, go. Could use a little more bass imho, but I love how fuckin' wonky this is.

Quarl responds:

I realized the bass was a little weak when I uploaded it to soundcloud and saw that wave form. I've found that when I think the bass is too much, that means I need more bass.

Aw man. SO relaxing. Love it. Sounds like a possible atmosphere for Borderlands or Fallout.

ForgottenDawn responds:

Good games, glad you enjoyed the track. :)

You must have played Fable 2. YOU MUST HAVE. This is very reminiscent of the soundtrack - playful, warm, mysterious. Enjoyed it.

WingoWinston responds:

A fun fact, I only have a PC so I've only played Fable LC and Fable 3. Fable 2 was not released for PC so I've never played it. But I do agree. A lot of the songs in Fable are rather cheery with woodwinds and a glockenspiel. Russel Shaw has definitely had a large influence on my music.

Thanks for the review!

Alright, this might just be my new jam. Solid drums, great energy, fantastic bass, and god-damned great mixing. 5/5

Oakwood responds:

Cool man, thanks! :)

This piece has a LOT of potential. Listening to the tonal atmospheres you have going on, it reminds me a little of something that might come out of a Halo battle scene, with the choral samples. The strings could have used a bit of temperament - they are a little harsher in some areas than I would expect, and they don't have much of a varying volume. Still, good choice on the melodies and the different styles within the song. I would mess around with the velocity on the strings.
Truly, I enjoyed it, overall, and it would be a great addition to any tense scenario. Looking forward to listen to your other music. ^__^

IglicaV responds:

Oh yes, I have to agree, because I think the same thing when I listen to this song. I couldn't polish it, because my hard drive broke, but I wasn't sure if I'll make it to the Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch. Probably you'll like my new song, that I'll publish as soon as I will be able to finish it : ) Thank you very much for your review!

OH LAWDY. Your voice. Every time i hear it it's just so darn cute. SO CUTE~~! Someday, we should work together and do a back-and-forth voice demo thing. Great job! :)

Piper responds:

Thanks. It really means a lot to me when people reach out and let me know they like my voice. I've been bullied and ridiculed for my voice my whole life, and it feels nice to be in a community where people can appreciate me.

Yeah! Doing a back and forth would be fun. Thanks for the stars! :)

Holy Moses. I absolutely love the staccato strings and the transition to industrial electronica. Giveth me thine shivers.

Bosa responds:

Awesome! It's great to see a review from you.

I'm headphoamz. Have at you!
